  2. The oil pressure sensor output value is 0.4 MPa (4.1 kgf/cm2, 58 psi) or more and the target gear ratio is less than 1.0.

  3. The actual gear ratio is 2.0 or more.

  4. 2 seconds or more

  2. The oil pressure sensor output value is 0.4 MPa (4.1 kgf/cm2, 58 psi) or more and the target gear ratio is 2.0 or more.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The ECM compares the actual gear ratio with the target gear ratio. When the actual gear ratio and target gear ratio are different, the ECM detects the malfunction, illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

After performing repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.

  1. Perform the D position test in Road Test.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2820)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Trouble Codes

    5. Read the DTCs using the GTS.

      Tip:

      If any DTCs other than P2820 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.
