HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Shift Paddle Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the shift lever is in S, the shift range position can be changed freely using the shift paddle switch of the transmission shift switch assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (SPORT UP SHIFT SENS STATE, SPORT DWN SHIFT SENS STATE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Sport Up Shift Sens State, Sport Dwn Shift Sens State.

    4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the O142 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O77 transmission control switch (transmission floor shift assembly) connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) is moved to each position.

    5. Reconnect the O142 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    1. Disconnect the O25 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O142 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    5. Reconnect the O25 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

    2. Set the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position.

    3. w/ Pre-collision System:

        Measure the resistance between the terminals of the spiral cable sub-assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.


        1. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise and measure the resistance. Then rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times counterclockwise and measure the resistance.

        2. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise. Then while rotating the spiral cable sub-assembly 5 times counterclockwise, measure the resistance.

        Note

        As the spiral cable sub-assembly may break, do not rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly more than the specified amount.

    4. w/o Pre-collision System:

        Measure the resistance between the terminals of the spiral cable sub-assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.


        1. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise and measure the resistance. Then rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times counterclockwise and measure the resistance.

        2. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise. Then while rotating the spiral cable sub-assembly 5 times counterclockwise, measure the resistance.
