LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1AA4 and C1AA5
| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| C1AA4 | Yaw Rate Sensor Circuit |
| C1AA5 | Yaw Rate Sensor Power Supply Voltage Circuit |
DESCRIPTION
The pre-collision city sensor receives vehicle stability signals from the airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor). When the pre-collision city sensor detects a malfunction in the airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor), a DTC is stored.

Detection Item |
DTC Detection Condition |
Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|---|
C1AA4 |
Yaw Rate Sensor Circuit |
When the ignition switch is ON and the system is operating, the pre-collision city sensor continuously receives a malfunction signal for 1 second or more from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more. |
|
C1AA5 |
Yaw Rate Sensor Power Supply Voltage Circuit |
When the ignition switch is ON and the system is operating, the pre-collision city sensor continuously receives a power supply malfunction signal for 1 second or more from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more. |

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.
If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.
Tip:Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning can be performed by using either One Time Recognition or Sequential Recognition.
