METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Hybrid System Indicator Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

A hybrid system indicator eco zone indicator is adopted for this vehicle. In this circuit, the meter ECU receives the hybrid system indicator level signal from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line. The meter ECU controls the operation of the hybrid system indicator according to the hybrid system indicator level signal received from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Check if CAN communication DTCs are output Click here.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HV SYSTEM INDICATOR)

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Check the indicator light operation according to the values in the table below.

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR)

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data Test.

    5. Check the values by referring to the table below.

  4. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
