BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

  2. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector from the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and brake pedal stroke sensor assembly from the brake pedal support assembly.

      Note

      • Do not drop the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.

      • If the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly has been dropped, replace the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly with a new one.

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the headlight leveling ECU assembly.

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Turn the stop light switch assembly counterclockwise and remove it.

  5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

  6. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

    1. Remove the clip and push rod pin.

    2. Separate the brake master cylinder push rod clevis from the brake pedal support assembly.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

    1. Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support assembly.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Disengage the 3 clamps and separate the wire harness from the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.
