DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and tire pressure warning ECU and receiver are connected using 2 direct lines that they use to communicate with each other.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

  • When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and write them down before removal.

  • It is necessary to perform registration Click here of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver after the ECU has been replaced.

Tech Tips

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER)

    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver O33 or N41 connector and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) I13 connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      O33-4 (RDA) - I13-16 (RDA)*1

      N41-4 (RDA) - I13-16 (RDA)*2

      Always Below 1 Ω
      I13-16 (RDA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      • *2: w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      O33-12 (GND) - Body ground*1

      N41-12 (GND) - Body ground*2

      Always Below 1 Ω
      • *1: w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System

      • *2: w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
