HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P3107-213

DESCRIPTION

• The power management control ECU detects a problem in the collision signal line from the airbag sensor assembly and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to Airbag system DTCs are not output. A Airbag system DTCs are output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

2. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

   1. Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below.

   2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

   3. Measure the waveform.

      

      Item	Contents
      Terminal	I47-14 (GSW2) - I47-25 (E1)
      Equipment Setting	5V/DIV., 500ms/DIV.
      Condition	Power switch on (READY)

   4. Turn the power switch off.

3. CLEAR DTC

   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

   5. Turn the power switch off.

   NEXT

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to P3107-213 is not output. A P3107-213 is output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

5. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

6. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   1. Disconnect connector I47 from the airbag sensor assembly.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition I47-14 (GSW2) - I47-25 (E1) Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   3. Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

   NG

   REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Click here

   OK

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

   1. Disconnect connector I3 from the power management control ECU.

   2. Disconnect connector I47 from the airbag sensor assembly.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   4. Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

   5. Connect the power management control ECU connector.
