After confirming that DTC P0A2C-247 or P0A2D-249 is output, use the Techstream to check "Motor Temp No1" in the power management control ECU Data List.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)

    1. Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the power management control ECU connectors Click here.

      The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact pressure problems.

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MOTOR TEMP NO1)

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    4. Read the Data List.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHECK FOR OPEN)

    1. Disconnect the motor temperature sensor connector.

    2. Connect terminals 1 (MMT) and 3 (MMTG) of vehicle side connector E15 of the motor temperature sensor.

    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    6. Read the Data List.

      The motor temperature sensor is not available separately. If it requires replacement, replace the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

    1. Connect terminals 24 (MMT) and 25 (MMTG) of connector A38 of the power management control ECU.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    5. Read the Data List.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

    1. Disconnect the motor temperature sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect connector A38 from the power management control ECU.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
