VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM P Position Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle approaching speaker controller detects when the shift state is park (P). When the vehicle approaching speaker controller detects that the shift state has been changed to park (P) due to the operation of the power management control ECU, it stops operating the vehicle approaching speaker.

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM

    1. Check for DTCs of hybrid control system Click here.

      OK
      DTC is not output.
    NG

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - MAIN BODY ECU)

    1. Disconnect the I71 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the I13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I71-11 (SFTP) - I13-3 (SFTP) Always Below 1 Ω
      I71-11 (SFTP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
