LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat)

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.

      1. Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to disengage the hook.

        a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      2. Repeat the step above for the other hook.

    2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

    1. Disengage the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  7. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Disengage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  9. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  10. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  11. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 clips, and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

    1. Remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover.

  14. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the spare wheel cover assembly.

  15. REMOVE BAGGAGE HOLDER NET (w/ Partition Net)

    1. Remove the baggage holder net.

  16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

    1. Remove the 5 clips.

    2. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    1. Push the pin and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  18. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH

    1. Remove the clip <A>.

    3. Disengage the fastener and remove the luggage compartment inner trim cover LH.

  19. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the guide and disconnect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and remove the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

  20. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps and remove the 2 scuff plate clips.

    4. Turn back the floor carpet so that the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly can be removed.

    5. Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration.

    6. Disconnect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

    7. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

    8. Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration to align the cutouts and the guides <A>, and then pull the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

    9. Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration to align the cutouts and guides <B>, and then pull the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

    10. Pull out the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer with both guides <B> and <C> aligned with the cutouts.

    11. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

    12. Disengage the 10 clamps and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

    13. Using a knife, cut off the clamp as shown in the illustration.

    14. Remove the clamp.

    15. Remove the 3 pieces of tape and fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.
