LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR INSTALLATION

Note

After installing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.

  1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT

    1. Install a new luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH

    1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

      Green
      w/ Rear Spoiler
      Pink

    2. Set the tip of the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH in the center installation hole. The upper and lower installation holes are used for adjustment.

    3. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the left side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

    5. Using SST, install the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage door hinge and the right side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

    6. Remove the protective tape.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

    1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

    2. Set the tip of the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH in the center installation hole. The upper and lower installation holes are used for adjustment.

    3. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the right side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

    5. Using SST, install the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage door hinge and the left side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

    6. Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    7. Connect the rear seatback lock assembly RH (rear seat lock control cable RH) and engage the hook in the order indicated in the illustration.

    8. Remove the protective tape.

  4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH

    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the luggage compartment door hinge cover LH.

  5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH

    1. Install the clip <A>.

    3. Engage the fastener and install the luggage compartment inner trim cover LH.

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER RH

    1. Install the clip <A>.

    2. Install the 2 clips <B>.

    3. Engage the fastener and install the luggage compartment inner trim cover RH.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    1. Engage the 2 pins to install the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks.

  9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FRONT TRIM COVER

    1. Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Engage the 8 fasteners and install the luggage compartment front trim cover.

  10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

    1. Engage the 4 clips and install the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

  11. INSTALL BAGGAGE HOLDER NET (w/ Partition Net)

    1. Install the baggage holder net.

  12. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the spare wheel cover assembly.
