ECO SWITCH INSPECTION

  1. INSPECT ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      I49-6 (E) - I49-9 (ECU) ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) on Below 1 Ω
      I49-6 (E) - I49-9 (ECU) ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) off 10 kΩ or higher

      Component without harness connected

      If the result is not as specified, replace the ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly).

    2. Check that the switch illuminates.

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the ion generator switch assembly and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 7 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly).
