OUTLINE
Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body
Aluminum, high-strength steel, ultra high-strength steel and hot-stamped steel are used in order to achieve excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
Rust-resistant Body
Rust-resistant performance is enhanced by the extensive use of anti-corrosion sheet steel, as well as by an anticorrosion treatment that includes the application of anti-rust wax, sealer and anti-chipping paint to the easily corroded parts such as the hood and fender.
Safety Features
The impact absorbing structure minimizes cabin deformation by effectively helping to absorb the impact energy in the event of a front, side or rear collision. This provides high performance occupant protection.
Aerodynamics
Various types of airflow routing parts that control airflow are provided under the floor, and an undercover is provided to make the under-floor area flat in order to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance.
Low Vibration and Low Noise Body
Effective application of vibration damping and noise suppressant materials reduces engine, wind and road noise.
MAIN FEATURES
Exterior Design Theme
Sensual Aggressive
A platform with a low center of gravity is used to create an original flagship sedan that has a dignified appearance appropriate for a luxury sedan and a strong presence, while expressing a dynamic driving image, sensuality and unparalleled beauty.
Aim of Exterior Design
Dignified Appearance and Lively Driving Image Appropriate for Luxury Sedan
In addition to the body with its low center of gravity, the standard posture of the vehicle is positioned low and horizontally via the shoulder lines flowing from the front to the rear, expressing a dignified appearance (A in illustration). Also, the solid axis of the front and rear fenders that dynamically protrude forward is tilted forward, expressing a lively driving image (B in illustration). These features are contrasted in an exterior design that creates a strong presence as a flagship sedan, expressing both quietness and dynamism.
Original Silhouette as New Flagship, "HUMAN CENTER SILHOUETTE"
A 6-light cabin is used while ensuring sufficient space for the rear seats, achieving a flowing silhouette integrated with the body. Thin front and rear pillars are angled towards the driver, creating a the form of an elegant cabin. In addition, a strong axis is passed through the entire cabin in the horizontal direction to match the shape of the side windows, giving a solid yet agile design. As a result, an original silhouette, which is clearly distinct from conventional models, is created.
Dynamic Form Created by Contrasts between Rigidity and Softness via Different Solid Material
A dynamic form with a good stance that invokes a dignified appearance and aggressive driving image is created by a solid structure with contrasts between the sharp solid design, which starts from the spindle grille and flows from the front to rear (A in illustration), and the changeful design, which uses the front and rear fenders protruding extensively (B in illustration).
Front Design
Front Design with Strong Solid Image through New Platform
In addition to the strong protruding feel of the structure around the radiator grille, a new platform with low suspension towers is used to express a clear boundary and emphasize the contrast between the flat hood and dynamically flowing fenders. As a result, a completely new design with a strong presence is produced for the front.

Spindle Grille
The inner design of the spindle grille uses a refined and accurate pattern that works together with the turning movement design of the spindle grille. An appearance appropriate for a flagship model is expressed using the delicate beauty created by precise details and overwhelming aggressive power.
Headlight
An impressive and resolute design is given to the headlights. 3 long and thin lights are fused with L-shaped LED lights that embrace the side ends of the vehicle to create an expression of aggressive eyes that sharply look forward.
Side Design
A sense of flow is expressed using a surface shape that continues from the sides to the surface of the rear (A in illustration).
A basic solid design with horizontal shoulder lines that run from the front to rear is used. In contrast, a mass that appears to embrace the front wheels and taper towards the rear, only to protrude toward the rear wheels and taper again, expresses a flowing design. This flowing surface design allows the axis of the front and rear fenders to be tilted forward to create a design that allows quietness and dynamism to coexist in the side doors, resulting in a natural expression from the use of 2 different types of characteristic designs that are difficult to fuse together (B in illustration).
The quarter pillars are angled in a way that maintains a comfortable height suitable for passengers in the rear seats of a luxury sedan, achieving a quarter pillar shape with a base that tapers inward to the peak at the rear end of the side window. As a result, a completely new design is achieved that incorporates turning changes on a large surface from the bases of the pillars to the rear fender and luggage compartment. These complicated elements are brought together in a beautiful and continuous manner to create an original design that flows smoothly from all angles of the quarter pillars (C in illustration).
Rear Design
A spindle shape theme that flows from the sides and turns back inside the rear combination lights is used and the rear bumper cover lower is positioned at the bottom ends, emphasizing a good stance (A in illustration).
Horizontal ornamentation is used in the rear combination lights and back door, emphasizing a wide feel (B in illustration).

The flowing design of the rear combination lights is emphasized through the horizontal axis. In addition, vertical movement is also expressed at the corner portions. As a result, a sense of wideness is emphasized when viewing from the rear. The characteristic shape of the lights increase the distinctiveness of the LS.
F SPORT
A next-generation F SPORT mesh is used in addition to the jet-black plated radiator grille, expressing a large design with a low center of gravity for the side grille. Jet-black plating is used for each piece of molding, achieving a spartan and accurate sport sedan for adults.
