VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION


    1. The vehicle approaching speaker switch that stops the operation of the vehicle proximity notification system is positioned on the left side of the driver seat instrument panel.

    2. The vehicle approaching speaker switch uses a momentary switch. Each time the switch is operated, the system switches between stopping and permitting operation of the vehicle proximity notification system.

    3. When the system is stopped by switch operation, the indicator light in the upper part of the switch illuminates to inform the driver that operation is stopped. Also, when a malfunction is detected in the system, the indicator light blinks for approximately 16 seconds to inform the driver.

    4. Stop operation of the vehicle proximity notification system using the vehicle approaching speaker switch will be canceled when the ignition switch is turned off, and the next time the power switch is turned on (READY), the vehicle proximity notification system turns on.
