MIRROR SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    1. The main components in the mirror heater control system have the following functions:

      Component Outline
Air Conditioning Control Assembly Outputs rear window defogger and mirror heater switch on signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Inputs rear window defogger and mirror heater switch on signals and outputs mirror heater operation request signals to the front multiplex network door ECU LH/RH.
Front Multiplex Network Door ECU LH/RH Inputs each type of operation request signal and operates the mirror heater.
Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH/RH Heats the mirror surface mirror heater (infrared).
  2. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. When the rear window defogger and mirror heater switch are turned on with the power switch on (IG), rear window defogger and mirror heater switch on signals are output to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. The air conditioning amplifier assembly, which inputs these signals, outputs mirror heater operation request signals to the front multiplex network door ECU LH/RH, and the front multiplex network door ECU LH/RH heats the mirror heater in the outer rear view mirror assembly LH/RH.

    2. The air conditioning amplifier assembly counts the time of the timer, and after the mirror heater is continuously on for approximately 15 minutes, it stops outputting the signal.

    3. A wiper-linked mirror heater system is used that automatically operates the mirror heater system if wipers continue to operate for 60 consecutive seconds.
