OPERATION
The kick door control sensor detects touchless kick actuation operations performed towards the center of the rear bumper by users carrying an electrical key or card key. When a touchless kick actuation operation is detected, a signal is output to the power trunk lid ECU and the power trunk lid system operates.
Tech Tips
Touchless kick actuation operation: The user carrying an electrical key or card key stands around the center of the rear bumper while maintaining a certain distance (approximately equal to the length of the arm) from the rear bumper, waves a foot within approximately 100 mm (3.94 in.) from the surface of the rear bumper and moves the foot away.
