SYSTEM CONTROL
Operating Condition
The cornering light of traveling direction illuminates when the following conditions are all met.
The power switch is on (IG).
Low beam headlights illuminate.
The vehicle speed is approximately less than 30 km/h (19 mph).
Turn signal switch is on or the steering wheel is operated (the steering angle is 80° or more)
Both side of cornering lights illuminate when the following conditions are all met.
The power switch is on (IG).
Low beam headlights illuminate.
Shift position is in R.
FAIL-SAFE
When a system malfunction is detected, the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH enters fail-safe mode. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
DIAGNOSTIC
In order to make system inspections easier to perform, a diagnosis function is used in consideration of serviceability. The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) of malfunctions can be read by connecting the Global TechStream (GTS). For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
