OPERATING CONDITION
The forward/front side pre-collision system operates when the system is on and it determines that there is a high possibility of a collision with a vehicle approaching from the side of the vehicle. The speeds at which each control operates are as follows.

The system may not operate in the following situations:

SYSTEM CONTROL
The forward/front side pre-collision system determines whether the vehicle will collide with vehicles approaching from the side, based on information detected by the front side radar sensor, millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and object recognition camera, and from vehicle information signals.
When there is a possibility of a collision, the forward/front side pre-collision system displays messages on the combination meter, headup display and multi display; sounds an alert using the buzzer; and performs pre-collision brake assist control during brake pedal operations. As a result, it provides collision avoidance support and helps to reduce collision damage.

Pre-collision Brake Assist
While the pre-collision system has determined that there is a high possibility of a collision, brake hydraulic pressure assistance is performed when the driver depresses the brake pedal.
Under the following conditions, the front side radar sensor and object recognition camera detects a detectable vehicle, and the forward/front side pre-collision system may operate even if the driver judges that there is no possibility of collision. However, this is not a malfunction.
