  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The dual-stage SRS front passenger airbag is located in the upper section of the instrument panel of the front passenger seat.

    2. The SRS front passenger airbag consists of an inflator and a bag.

    3. The dual-stage airbag contains a set of 2 initiators and propellants. The airbag ECU assembly helps optimize the SRS airbag deployment rate by controlling the ignition timing of these initiators.

    4. When the SRS front passenger airbag is deployed, it forms the shape of 2 bags with a depression in the middle. Immediately after the SRS airbag is deployed, the shape of 2 bags support the occupant on many planes, including the head and shoulders. As a result, this airbag disperses the load that is applied to the occupant in order to help lessen the localized impact that is applied to the occupant immediately upon deployment.
