PARKING SUPPORT ALERT SYSTEM


  1. OPERATION


    1. Indicator Display


      1. When Lexus parking assist-sensor is off, the Lexus parking assist-sensor OFF indicator is turned on.

      2. When the RCTA is off, the RCTA OFF indicator is illuminated.

      3. When RCD is off, the RCD OFF indicator is illuminated.

      4. When a malfunction occurs, each indicator blinks, the meter buzzer sounds, the master warning indicator illuminates, and warnings are displayed on the multi-information display, in order to inform the driver of a system malfunction.

    2. Lexus Parking Assist-sensor Detection Display


      1. If the front center sensor and rear center sensor detect an stationary object, the detection location and the approximate distance to the stationary object are displayed on the multi-information display at 5 levels (longest range, long-range, medium-range, short-range and shortest range).

      2. If the front corner sensor and rear corner sensor detect an stationary object, the detection location and the approximate distance to the stationary object are displayed on the multi-information display at 4 levels (long-range, medium-range, short-range and shortest range).

    3. Warning Display


      1. When a malfunction occurs in the parking support alert system or the system cannot be used, a warning is displayed on the multi-information display, each indicator blinks or is illuminated, and the meter buzzer sounds to inform the driver that the system is unavailable.
