HYBRID TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. A mechanical oil pump and electrical oil pump are provided. The pumps ensure sufficient hydraulic pressure when the engine is stopped and split the necessary fluid volume between each other to achieve the optimal pump discharge force and quietness.

    2. The mechanical oil pump is operated by the engine motive force. The engine motive force is transmitted to the input shaft, front planetary carrier, oil pump counter drive gear, oil pump drive shaft and FR oil pump drive gear.

    3. The electrical pump uses a brushless motor and its sensing portion contains a rotation speed sensor that uses a Hall IC. Upon receiving signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, the oil pump motor controller calculates the motor rotation speed and changes the motor rotation speed in order to control the discharge volume of the pump. Also, the pump contains an oil pump motor thermistor, which detects the motor coil temperature and transmits the information to the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.
