CONSTRUCTION
The exhaust pipes are made of stainless steel for improved rust resistance.
A clamshell main muffler is used to ensure aerodynamic performance.
The exhaust control valve is built into the main muffler to control the exhaust gas flow according to engine speed.

OPERATION
Exhaust Control Valve
This reduces noise when the engine is running at low speed as well as reducing the exhaust back pressure when the engine is running at high speed.
When Control Valve is Closed (Low Engine Speed)
Since the pressure in the main muffler is low, the control valve is closed. Hence exhaust gas does not pass the bypass passage, and exhaust noise is decreased in the main muffler.
When Control Valve is Open (High Engine Speed)
The valve opens as the engine speed and back pressure in the muffler increases. This allows a large volume of exhaust gas to pass into the bypass passage, thereby substantially decreasing the back pressure.
