EXHAUST SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Stainless steel exhaust manifolds are used for weight reduction.

    2. The exhaust pipes are made of stainless steel for improved rust resistance.

    3. The tandem type catalytic converter in which 2 catalysts are positioned sequentially is provided directly below the exhaust manifold (combined with the exhaust manifold sub-assembly) to reduce emissions directly after engine start (when the engine is cold), ensuring sufficient emission performance.

    4. The air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) is provided upstream of the Three-Way catalytic converter (TWC) of the exhaust manifold and the air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 2) is provided downstream of the TWC of the exhaust manifold in order to enable fine air fuel ratio control.

    5. An exhaust control valve is provided in the main muffler to improve quietness and exhaust efficiency.
