LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH Supplies power to the clearance lights.
    Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and sends clearance lights illumination signals.
    Turn Signal Switch Light Control Switch Sends the light control switch position signal to the steering sensor.
    Steering Sensor Sends the light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Automatic Light Control Sensor Detects the ambient light level and transmits them to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly RH Detects whether a door is open or closed and sends the signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    Front Door Lock with Motor Assembly RH Door Lock Position Switch Sends door lock/unlock condition signals to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)

    • Sends engine switch condition signals to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    • Sends the wireless door lock/unlock operation signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) Supplies power to the taillights and license plate lights.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The welcome light illumination system operates as follows:

      Condition Details
      System Activation

      When all of the following conditions are met, the welcome light illumination system operates.


      • The engine switch is off.

      • The light control switch is in the AUTO position.

      • The automatic light control sensor outputs the night mode signal.
      Light Turn-on The clearance lights on for 15 seconds when the door unlock operation is being used.
      Light Turn-off

      After the light is illuminated, the clearance lights are turned off when either of the following conditions is met before 15 seconds have elapsed.


      • The engine switch is on (IG).

      • The light control switch is in any position except the AUTO position.

      • Door lock is performed.

  3. FUNCTION


    1. The welcome light illumination system operates the clearance lights in conjunction with the locking and unlocking of the doors, ensuring nighttime usability.

    2. The welcome light illumination control function can be turned on and off using the customization function. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
