WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Washer Tank Assembly Headlight Cleaner Motor and Pump Assembly Sends washer fluid to the headlight cleaner actuator sub-assembly in accordance with signals from the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.
    Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly Washer Switch Sends the washer switch position signal to the steering sensor.
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
    • Sends the headlight low beam illumination signal to the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

    • Sends the washer switch position signal to the headlight control ECU sub-assembly RH.

    Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH Receives headlight Lo signal and washer switch position signal from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and controls the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.
    Steering Sensor Sends the washer switch and washer switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Headlight Cleaner Control Relay Receives signals from headlight ECU sub-assembly RH and supplies power to headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly to drive motor
    Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) Relays the signals between the CAN communication lines.

      Headlight Low Beam Washer Switch Operation
      First Time Second Time to Fifth Time Sixth Time and Every Additional Fifth Time
      On Activated Not Activated Activated
      Off Not Activated Not Activated Not Activated
