DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function

Front Door Closer Assembly LH (Front Door Lock with Motor Assembly LH)

    • Door Closer Motor

    • Half/Full Latch Switch

    • Temporary Stop Switch

    • Pawl Switch

    • Initial Position Switch

    • Handle Switch

    • Fully closes the doors by means of the signals from the multiplex network door ECU.

    • Detects the door closer assembly condition according to various detection switches (half/full latch switch, temporary stop switch, pawl switch, initial position switch and handle switch) and outputs it to the multiplex network door ECU.

Front Door Closer Assembly RH (Front Door Lock with Motor Assembly RH)

    • Door Closer Motor

    • Half/Full Latch Switch

    • Temporary Stop Switch

    • Pawl Switch

    • Initial Position Switch

    • Handle Switch

Rear Door Closer Assembly LH (Rear Door Lock Assembly LH)

    • Door Closer Motor

    • Half/Full Latch Switch

    • Temporary Stop Switch

    • Pawl Switch

    • Initial Position Switch

    • Handle Switch

Rear Door Closer Assembly RH (Rear Door Lock Assembly RH)

    • Door Closer Motor

    • Half/Full Latch Switch

    • Temporary Stop Switch

    • Pawl Switch

    • Initial Position Switch

    • Handle Switch

Front Multiplex Network Door ECU LH Regulates the door closer motor based on the signals from each switch.

  2. FUNCTION

    1. When a door is ajar for a certain amount of time or more, the door closer motor in the door closer assembly rotates to automatically pull the door until it is fully closed.

    2. When the outside door handle or inside door handle is operated while the door closer system is operating (the door is being pulled), the door close operation stops, making it possible to open the door.

  3. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. The multiplex network door ECU receives input signals from various detection switches built into the door closer assemblies, and then sends operation signals to the door closer motor to operate the system.
