SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. The side rail of the sliding roof housing sub-assembly is curved to match the shape of the roof, ensuring interior height.

    2. A bidirectional lift guide is used for the tilt and slide mechanism. The bidirectional lift guide moves towards the front of the vehicle to tilt up the sliding roof glass, so the structure that supports the sliding roof glass is made compact and positioned forward. As a result, the sliding width is expanded and the opening width of the sliding roof glass when it is fully open is also expanded.

    3. A lip is added to the wind deflector of the sliding roof housing sub-assembly, suppressing wind entering the gap between the roof panel and wind deflector. As a result, spiral airflow generated behind the wind deflector is suppressed to reduce wind noise. In addition, fin shapes are added to the sides of the wind deflector and wind from the front is directed towards the sides to reduce wind noise.
