CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. Front Climate Control Seat System


      1. Front seats with a ventilation function are used.

      2. Inlet type ventilation is used to improve cooling performance over a short period of time.

      3. The ventilation volume switch (remote switch operation) displayed on the multi display is used to operate seat ventilation. The seat ventilation can be adjusted in 3 levels (Hi, Mid and Lo), and the seat condition is displayed under the switch so that the operation condition of the seat ventilation can be checked visually.*

        Tech Tips

        *: When the ventilation volume is set to "Hi", the seat ventilation air flow volume increases according to the air conditioning air flow volume.

    2. Rear Climate Control Seat System


      1. A seat ventilation system is provided in the rear seat depending on the model.

      2. A ventilation volume switch for the rear seat is provided in the rear multi operation panel. An indicator is also placed there to make it possible to confirm the operation status.

      3. A comfortable air seat main switch is provided in the multi-display to turn the rear seat comfortable air seat system on/off from the front seat.

    3. Auto control that uses the air conditioning outlet air temperature is used for the comfortable air seat system.

    4. "AUTO" has been added to the rear comfortable air seat switch along with the addition of auto control.

    5. Lexus climate concierge control is used to perform automatic control linked with the air conditioning system, steering wheel heater system and seat heater system.*

      Tech Tips

      *: The operation condition of the front seat ventilation during auto mode can be adjusted in 5 levels (cool to warm) through the customization function of the navigation system. Refer to the Repair Manual for details.

    6. The climate control seat system creates comfortable front seats by using seat heaters and blower units.

    7. The air conditioning amplifier controls the ventilation function.

    8. The ventilation system position and structure have been revised to ensure superior cooling performance.

    9. The comfortable air seat is composed of components such as the multi-display, seatback climate control blower and seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

  2. MAIN FEATURES


    1. The heating function and ventilation function cannot be operated at the same time.

    2. For the ventilation function, only air in the cabin is used. Heated or cooled air is not used.

    3. The climate control seat system seat heaters have adjustable temperature areas and fixed temperature areas, similar to those for the seat heater system (without ventilation function). Adjustable temperature areas are used for the shoulder and lumbar areas and the area of the thighs behind the knee that easily becomes cold. This reduces strain and ensures comfortable seating.
