SYSTEM CONTROL
Timer control is available for the front seat heaters. When a front seat heater switch (refreshing seat switch) is turned on, "Hi" is selected. The seat heater system sets the operation time according to factors such as the outside temperature and interior temperature. The set temperature will be changed to a lower mode in stages (Hi → Mid → Lo).
When a front seat heater switch (refreshing seat switch) is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the set temperature stored in the front seat heater switch (refreshing seat switch) and at the same time detects the actual seat cushion heater temperature using the seat heater sensor built into the front seat cushion heater. The air conditioning amplifier assembly will then supply the required amount of power to the front seat heater to adjust the seat cushion heater temperature to the set temperature. In addition, the air conditioning amplifier assembly shuts off power to the front seat heater when the seat cushion heater temperature reaches approximately 52°C (Hi), 43°C (Mid) or 33°C (Lo), and reapplies power when the seat cushion heater temperature drops to approximately 51°C (Hi), 42°C (Mid) or 32°C (Lo).
If the engine switch is turned on (IG) again within approximately 15 minutes of being turned off, the heater level (Hi, Mid, or Lo) will remain as it was when the engine switch was turned off. If approximately 15 minutes or more have elapsed before the engine switch is turned on (IG) again, "Hi" will be selected.
The timer control function can be canceled using the front seat heater switches (refreshing seat switches).
The timer control function can be switched on and off by pressing and holding both the driver seat switch and the front passenger seat switch until the buzzer sounds. The buzzer sounds once when the timer control function turns on, and sounds twice when the timer control function turns off.
If the battery voltage is low, the climate control seat system may not operate to ensure a stable supply of power for other systems. In this situation, the message "High Power Consumption Partial Limit On AC/Heater Operation" is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.
