POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM

OUTLINE

1. Front Power Seat Control System

   
   

   1. A power seat control system is provided for the driver seat, front passenger seat and rear passenger seat.

   2. A memory function is used in the power seat control system for the driver seat and front passenger seat.

   3. Front power seats are provided to make it easier to adjust the seat position via the slide, reclining, front vertical, lifter, headrest (up/down and front/back) and cushion length variable mechanism using the electric adjuster, and via the lumbar support (upper/lower and front/back) and back pelvis support using the pneumatic system. In addition, shoulder support, backside support, hip support and cushion side support using the pneumatic system is provided depending on the model, making it easy to adjust the position and provide a sense of unity with the vehicle, a tight fit with the seat and excellent holding ability.

   4. Both the pneumatic lumbar support mechanism and back pelvis support mechanism use 4-way adjustment type driver and passenger seats. Passengers are supported by the bladders (air bladder) in each part being inflated and deflated by the pump and valve. This eliminates the need to install motors in each part, resulting in a multi-function seat that is light and thin.

   5. A power easy access system (with auto lift-up and cushion side away functions) is used in the driver seat, while a power easy access system (with cushion side away function) is used in the front passenger seat.

   6. The front passenger seat control switch is provided on the driver side door trim, so that the passenger seat position can be easily controlled from the driver side.

   7. A front passenger seat control system is provided to improve comfort and forward visibility for passengers sitting in the rear seat by moving the front passenger seat forward, depending on the model.

   8. By using remote touch, it is possible to perform manual adjustments for the front seat position and auto operations for the front passenger and rear seats and operate the refresh function for the front seat using the multi display, improving usability.

   9. In order to prevent interference between the headrest and the roof, roof interference avoidance control is used to adjust the operation of the slide, lifter, headrest (up/down) and reclining.

   10. An instrument panel interference avoidance control is used to prevent feet from getting trapped between the instrument panel and seat cushion by automatic adjustment of the cushion length during forward sliding operations and slide operation restrictions during forward sliding operations*.

2. Rear Power Seat Control System

   
   

   1. A split type rear power seat with attached ottoman is provided depending on the model.

   2. The tilt, sliding-linked reclining, headrest (up/down and front/back adjustment) operations via the electric adjuster, and the lumbar support (up/down and front/back), back pelvis support operations via the pneumatic system for the split type rear power seat can be independently performed on the left and right side by operating the rear multi operation panel located in the rear center armrest assembly. The reclining and ottoman expansion/contraction* can also be adjusted independently for the front passenger side rear seat only.

   3. An ottoman expansion/contraction mechanism* is used to provide sufficient support to the lower legs of passengers of varying heights.

   4. Sliding-linked reclining is used to reduce sliding forward in the seat and vertical back misalignment when reclining by moving the reclining hinge center close to the center of rotation of passengers and then tilting.

   5. Shoulder support and back pelvis support with pneumatic systems are used to provide a sense of unity with the vehicle, a tight fit with the seat and excellent holding ability.

   6. By using a rear multi operation panel for the split type rear power seat, it is possible to perform all operations including automatic and manual seat operations and relaxation functions.

   7. A rear seat auto reclining function that reclines the rear seat and lowers the headrest according to a shift operation is provided to improve rearward visibility, depending on the model.

   8. A door opening-linked return function, which automatically moves each part of the rear seat to the neutral position and raises the reclining angle of the rear seat 4° further according to a door opening operation while entering or exiting the vehicle, is provided to improve accessibility for the passengers. A rear seat return function that automatically moves the reclining position and headrest position of the rear seat with a single operation is also provided to improve rearward visibility.

   9. Pre-collision seatback control that operates with the pre-collision system and reclines the seatback if the possibility of a collision from the front is detected is provided to ensure that passengers are sitting appropriately, depending on the model.
