CONSTRUCTION
A pedestrian detection chamber assembly, which uses tube deformation to detect collisions with pedestrians, is positioned in the front bumper energy absorber.
The pedestrian detection chamber assembly is composed of a pedestrian protection sensor RH, pedestrian protection sensor LH and pedestrian detection chamber.

OPERATION
A pedestrian protection sensor consists of a pressure sensor, communication circuits, etc. Each sensor detects pressure changes in the chamber of the pedestrian detection chamber assembly and sends a pressure signal to the pedestrian detection ECU assembly.
