The theft deterrent system will operate when an attempt is made to forcibly enter the vehicle, open the engine hood or unlock any door without the electrical key or card key*1, when the battery terminals are removed and reconnected, when objects moving in the cabin are detected*2 or when the vehicle is determined to be sloping*3.
The system consists of power door lock control system parts, entry and start system parts, an intrusion sensor*2, a tilt sensor*3, a theft warning siren assembly*4, security horn assembly*5 and a security indicator light.
This system is controlled by the main body ECU.
