Tech Tips
The operation of the interrupt call function of the Bluetooth hands-free system may vary with the Bluetooth phone or the telephone company that is used.
|
"Bluetooth" is a trademark owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. |
Some profiles described above may not be supported by the system depending on the audio head unit equipped.
If the specification of the connected Bluetooth phone is lower than the recommended or does not support the functions required, the available functions may be limited.
Registration and connection of a Bluetooth phone is not available when only Object Push Profile (OPP) and Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) are supported.
When multiple Bluetooth-compatible devices are registered, the user can select different devices for the Bluetooth audio system and Bluetooth hands-free system.
When a Bluetooth phone is connected to the audio head unit, e-mails and Short Message Service (SMS) messages received on the phone can be displayed or read out. In addition, it is possible to reply to the received e-mails and send Short Message Service (SMS) messages. (Messages may not be displayed depending on the message service or profile that the connected Bluetooth phone supports.)*

*4: P2P mode allows devices to directly connect to each other to send and receive data.
Voice Recognition Search System (For Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong)
Due to the Grapheme to Phoneme (G2P) function of converting text into sounds, songs on an iPod, iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod touch or iPhone device can be searched for by saying an artist name, album name, title or playlist name.
Mobile Assistant
The mobile assistant function enables users to use voice input operations through Siri Eyes Free Mode and Google App supported iPhone or Android devices connected to the radio receiver assembly.*1 However, a Bluetooth connection between the radio receiver assembly and mobile device is required to use this function.*2
The mobile assistant function can be used by pressing and holding the TEL switch on the steering pad switch assembly.
Tech Tips
*1: The mobile assistant function can be operated using iOS devices (iOS 6 or later), which support Siri Eyes Free Mode, or Android devices (ver. 4.4 or later), which support Google App. Google App needs to be installed to use the mobile assistant function via Android devices.
*2: However, whether the function is usable depends on the installed version of iOS or Android OS and Google App. Update iOS or Android OS and Google App to the latest version to use the mobile assistant function.
Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL)
The Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) function automatically adjusts the audio system volume level in order to compensate for increased vehicle noise (vehicle noise tends to increase as vehicle speed increases).
Vehicle speed signals are received from the combination meter assembly and used for ASL control.
Music Restoration Technology (Models with 23-speaker System)
Files such as an MP3 or AAC have lost the audio details of the original music source during the file compression process. This technology is used to restore the lost audio details and optimize data.
During playback of a compressed music file, this technology improves the frequency characteristics, dynamic range, low frequency sounds, etc. of the music file in real time, recreating the wide soundstage of the original music source.
High-resolution Sound Source Compatible Function
A high-resolution sound source compatible function has been installed, allowing for high-resolution sound source playback.
Supporting the playback of high-resolution sound source, which has larger information capacity than music CD, enables sound reproduction with higher fidelity to the original sound.
WAV, FLAC, ALAC and Ogg Vorbis formats are supported and only high-resolution sound source files stored on USB memory devices can be played.
Multi-information Display
Audio source modes, radio stations, audio tracks, etc. can be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.
Switching the audio source mode, selecting radio stations or audio tracks, etc. can be performed by operating the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly.
When a cellular phone connected to the system via Bluetooth receives a phone call, the call information is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly. Operating the multi-information display while the call information is displayed enables the user to answer the phone call.
Headup Display (Models with Headup Display)
The audio source status is displayed on the headup display when the audio system is operated using the steering pad switch assembly.
Audio Control Switch
Switching the audio mode, adjusting the volume, etc., can be performed by operating the audio control switch that is located on the air conditioning control assembly.
Rear Multi Operation Panel (Models with Rear Multi Operation Panel)
Adjusting the volume and switching audio sources can be performed from the rear seats by operating the rear multi operation panel.
Steering Pad Switch
Switches that the driver often uses are provided on the steering wheel for convenience.

MAIN FEATURES
MiracastTMFunction*1, *2 (Models with MiracastTMFunction)
When a mobile device that supports MiracastTM(smartphone or tablet) is connected to the radio receiver assembly via Wi-Fi*2 (P2P mode*3), its screen is displayed on the multi-display and audio from the device is output through the built-in speakers.*4
When the engine switch is on (ACC) or on (IG), images displayed using the MiracastTMfunction are only displayed when the parking brake is operated and the vehicle is stopped. In order to ensure safety while the vehicle is in motion, images are not displayed and only audio is output.
The MiracastTMfunction displays the screen as it is received from the mobile device. Therefore, if the orientation of the mobile device is changed from vertical to horizontal, the orientation of the image displayed on the multi-display also changes from vertical to horizontal.
When the MiracastTMfunction is operating, the control button of the multi-display can be used to adjust the image quality, change the image size and cancel MiracastTM.
Tech Tips
*1: The MiracastTMfunction of this device is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
*2: "Wi-Fi", "Wi-Fi Direct", "Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast" and "Miracast" are registered trademarks of the Wi-Fi Alliance.
*3: P2P mode allows devices to directly connect to each other to send and receive data.
*4: The radio receiver assembly stores a connection history of all connected MiracastTMmobile devices. The MiracastTMconnection history can be confirmed by using a diagnostic tool.
