A power steering ECU with motor, in which the power steering motor and power steering ECU are integrated, is used. The power steering ECU components are positioned three-dimensionally, utilizing dead space to achieve size and weight reduction. A brushless motor, which has high output, low inertia and reduced noise, is used for the power steering motor.
The reduction mechanism consists of balls and a ball screw nut. A high-precision ground ball screw nut with a smooth surface is used to achieve smooth rotation and noise reduction.
The power steering motor drive force is transmitted to the ball screw nut through the belt, and then the rotational torque of the ball screw nut is transmitted to the rack shaft.
