AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM


  1. CONSTRUCTION


    • A highly functional and compact transmission valve body assembly is used. Fewer valves are used, the fluid path is shortened and the shift solenoid valves are made compact to achieve weight reduction. Also, the fluid path and valves are optimally positioned and high flow shift solenoid valves are used to help improve the hydraulic pressure response and shift response. Furthermore, the valve clearance is shortened to reduce the amount of ATF leakage and a lubrication relay valve is added to optimize the volume of lubricant. As a result, transmission torque losses are reduced, contributing to improved fuel economy performance.

    • A vertical 2-part structure is used where the shift solenoid valves are positioned on the transmission valve body assembly on the lower side.

  2. OPERATION


    • The volume of lubricant that flows in the automatic transmission is controlled according to the drive force. The volume of fluid required for lubrication is optimized to reduce losses due to friction and improve fuel efficiency.
