  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The accumulator with solenoid assembly is built into the transmission assembly and supplies ATF to the shift solenoid valves when the engine is restarted after an idling stop.

    2. The accumulator with solenoid assembly is provided for the stop and start system and is controlled by the engine stop and start ECU.

  2. OPERATION


    1. Normally, the solenoid valve is closed, so the mechanical oil pump supplies ATF to the shift solenoid valves.

    2. When the solenoid valve opens while the vehicle is being driven, ATF is accumulated in the accumulator with solenoid assembly. When the ATF level reaches a certain amount, the solenoid valve closes.

    3. When the engine is restarted after an idling stop, the solenoid valve opens and the accumulator with solenoid assembly supplies ATF to the shift solenoid valves.
