CONSTRUCTION
A fuel pump (for low pressure), fuel filter, fuel main valve assembly and fuel sender gauge assembly with integrated fuel suction tube assembly are used.
The fuel pump assembly (for low pressure) is located in the fuel tank assembly. This fuel pump pressurizes the fuel from the fuel tank assembly and sends the fuel to the high-pressure and low-pressure fuel systems.
A system that prevents fuel leakage is used to ensure safety. When a collision occurs (when the airbags deploy), the fuel pump control ECU turns the fuel pump off according to signals from the ECM, which receives operation signals from the airbag ECU assembly.
A brushless motor is used for the fuel pump (for low pressure). Loss due to brush contact resistance is eliminated, reducing power consumption and achieving improved fuel economy.
