  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The No. 3 turbo pressure sensor is installed to the intake air surge tank with intercooler assembly and is comprised of the turbo pressure sensor and thermistor type intake air temperature sensor which detects the intake air temperature.

    2. The turbo pressure sensor No. 1 is composed of silicone chips that detect the intake valve pressure. This sensor is connected to the air tube sub-assembly and detects the pressure on the outlet side of the compressor.

    3. The turbo pressure sensor is a semiconductor type pressure sensor that uses the changing electrical resistance properties when pressure is applied to crystals (silicone). This sensor converts intake valve pressure (absolute pressure*) to electrical signals, amplifies them and outputs them to the ECM as an intake pipe pressure signal.

      Tech Tips

      Absolute pressure: This is the pressure when the vacuum state is set to 0.
