ACTIVE REAR WING SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. An active rear wing system is provided. The active rear wing is raised to improve driving stability while driving at high speeds, and is stowed for improved fuel consumption while driving at low speeds.

    2. When the active rear wing is retracted, it is stowed within the luggage panel.

    3. The active rear wing has a 4-link type mechanism, achieving a reduction in height of the unit in consideration of luggage capacity.

    4. A resin cover is installed to the base plate and link mechanism of the active rear wing movable unit in consideration of good appearance when the active rear wing is raised.

    5. After the active rear wing reaches the fully raised position, the motor continues to turn a pre-determined angle to tension the link mechanism, enhancing the support and rigidity of the active rear wing.
