OUTLINE
Design Theme
Seduction and Technology
An authentic luxurious coupe interior design that fuses high-tech and sexiness in a sophisticated manner has been pursued.
Aim of Interior Design
An interior space created by fusing comfort (interior space that wraps around the passenger with a sense of hospitality) and driving pleasure (cockpit space that expresses the pleasure of driving) on a higher dimension has been pursued.
On the driver's side, a cockpit space centered around the steering wheel, combination meter and controls is emphasized. On the passenger's side, hospitality is expressed through a structure that provides a spacious feeling towards the front of the vehicle.
A structure that provides the interior and exterior with a sense of unity is pursued by using lines which extend from the engine hood to the door trim through the windshield (A in illustration).
A dynamic interior is expressed through the use of molding that varies its width as it extends from the edge of the instrument panel into the door (B in illustration).
Superior driving pleasure is expressed through a structure that provides a sense of holding to both sides of the driver's seat (C in illustration).
The passenger area is designed to wrap around the passenger while creating a sense of spaciousness that flows from the rear to the front (A in illustration).
For the passenger seat, grips are placed in easily accessible positions. These help the passenger easily open and close the door while providing increased support during driving (B in illustration).
The structure of the door trim on the passenger seat side is soft and wraps around the arm of the passenger (C in illustration).
Instrument Panel
Controls directly related to driving are centered around the steering wheel.

L-patterned reliefs are used throughout the interior ornamentation and knobs to pursue a sporty image and express a sense of unity inside the vehicle.
Steering
The horn button assembly pursues a sense of luxury through its detailed craftsmanship using synthetic leather and stitching.
The grip cross section does not face the shaft axis as it did previously. Instead, the cross section faces the front of the vehicle, making it easy to recognize the steering angle (*a, *d and *e in illustration).
The shape of the grip is designed by considering driving scenes and gripping methods and placing importance on maintaining a natural grip. As a result, the cross section of the grip is changed at various positions to create a grip shape that matches the twisting of the driver's wrists (*a, *b and *c in illustration).
The rear thickness of the spoke is reduced based on human engineering to support the shapes of the driver's fingers and achieve a natural and optimal grip feeling (*c in illustration).
The ring portion is rounded. The shape of the steering wheel is rounded to fit the driver's hands when gripped so that the driver feels confident that their hands will not slip or change position (*f in illustration).

Magnesium paddle shift switches are used to express a sense of luxury.
The paddle shift switch operation area is expanded, making it possible for the driver to operate the paddle shift switches without changing their grip on the steering wheel.
Compared with the position of the conventional paddle shift switches, the LC paddle shift switches are moved towards the ring side so that they are easier to operate when holding the steering wheel in the 10 and 2 position (A in illustration).
Compared with the shape of the conventional paddle shift switches, the bottoms of the LC paddle shift switches are extended so that they are easier to operate when holding the steering wheel in the 8 and 4 position (B in illustration).
