CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. A climate control seat system is available for the driver and front passenger seats.

    2. The climate control seat system creates comfortable front seats by using seat heaters and blower units.

    3. The seat heaters are installed in the front seats and are controlled by the seat heater controls.

    4. The air conditioning amplifier controls the ventilation function.

    5. A ventilation function is used for the first time with Alcantara upholstery (for models with sport type seats).

    6. The ventilation system position and structure have been revised to ensure superior cooling performance.

    7. The comfortable air seat is composed of components such as a ventilation volume switch, seatback climate control blower and seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

    8. Seat ventilation operations are performed using the ventilation volume switch (operated by the remote touch) displayed on the multi-display. The ventilation can be adjusted in 3 levels [Hi/Mid/Lo], and the seat condition is displayed under the front seat heater switch so that the operation condition of the seat ventilation can be checked visually.*1

    9. The Lexus Climate Concierge is used to automatically perform control in conjunction with the air conditioning system, steering wheel heater system and seat heater system.*2

      Tech Tips

      *1: When the ventilation volume is set to "Hi", the seat ventilation air flow volume increases according to the air conditioning air flow volume.

      *2: The operation condition of the front seat ventilation during automatic control mode can be adjusted in 5 levels (cool to warm) through the customization function of the navigation system. Refer to the Repair Manual for details.

  2. MAIN FEATURES


    1. The heating function and ventilation function cannot be operated at the same time.

    2. For the ventilation function, only air in the cabin is used. Heated or cooled air is not used.

    3. The climate control seat system seat heaters have adjustable temperature areas and fixed temperature areas, similar to those for the seat heater system (without ventilation function). Adjustable temperature areas are used for the shoulder and lumbar areas and the area of the thighs behind the knee that easily becomes cold. This reduces strain and ensures comfortable seating.
