SUB BATTERY SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. A sub-battery (12 V) connected with the battery in parallel is installed on this model.

    2. The sub-battery is installed for the following 2 purposes:


      1. To supply power to the electronic shift lever system and keep the vehicle stopped when parking lock is automatically operated or operated by the P position switch while the vehicle power source is malfunctioning.

        (An electric type parking brake and parking lock are used on this model.)

      2. To supply power to the power source system when the electrical load increases for a short amount of time, such as when the electric power steering or other components are operated.
