ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Stereo Component Equalizer Assembly

    • Calculates the frequency of electronic control sounds based on the vehicle speed, accelerator pedal depression amount, engine speed, generated torque and driving mode signals.

    • Generates the output sound quality based on the calculated frequency information and sends it to the stereo component amplifier assembly.
    Telephone Microphone Assembly (Front LH) Detects muffled sounds in the cabin and sends signals to the stereo component equalizer assembly.

    Telephone Microphone Assembly (Rear)
    Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly Receives signals from the stereo component equalizer assembly and sends electronic control sound signals to each speaker.
    No. 1 Speaker with Box Assembly Generates electronic control sounds based on signals from the stereo component amplifier assembly.
    No. 3 Speaker with Box Assembly
    Radio Receiver Assembly Sends audio signals to the stereo component amplifier assembly.
    ECM

    • Outputs engine speed to the stereo component equalizer assembly via the direct line.

    • Sends the information such as the accelerator pedal depression amount, generated torque and drive mode to the stereo component equalizer assembly.
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)

    • Sends driver seat and front passenger seat power window state signals to the stereo component equalizer assembly.

    • Outputs courtesy light switch signals to the stereo component equalizer assembly.
    Skid Control ECU Assembly Sends vehicle speed signals to the stereo component equalizer assembly.
    Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) Relays the signal between the CAN communication lines.
    DLC3 Can read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) of malfunctions by connecting the Techstream.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Based on the muffled sounds in the cabin detected by each active noise microphone and the vehicle condition signals from each ECU, the stereo component equalizer calculates the control signals corresponding to respective speakers in the No. 1 speaker with box assembly RH, No. 1 speaker with box assembly LH and No. 3 speaker with box assembly, and then sends the signals to the 3 speakers through the stereo component amplifier assembly.

    2. The No. 1 speaker with box assembly RH, No. 1 speaker with box assembly LH and No. 3 speaker with box assembly output electronic control sounds with an inverted phase to the muffled sounds, achieving muffled sound reduction.

  3. DIAGNOSIS


    1. If a system malfunction is detected, the stereo component equalizer assembly stores Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in its memory. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
