LIGHTING SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
Automatic Light Control Sensor Detects the ambient light level and transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Central Gateway ECU(Network Gateway ECU) Relays the signal between the CAN communication lines.
Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly) Sends power switch condition signals to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Courtesy light Switch LH Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    Turn Signal Switch

    • Light Control Switch

Sends the light control switch position signal to the steering sensor.
No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH/RH Supplies power to the headlights and clearance lights.
Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and illuminates the headlights, clearance lights, taillights and license plate lights.
Multi-display Sends function customization information from the multi-display setting screen to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
No. 3 Semiconductor Power Integration ECU Supplies power to the taillights and license plate lights.
Radio Receiver Assembly Displays the settings screen.
Steering Sensor Sends the light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
  2. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. Operating Condition

      1. The automatic light control system operates as follows:

        Function Outline
        Headlights and Taillights Turn On

When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights, clearance lights, taillights and license plate lights automatically turn on:

        • The ambient light is dark or momentarily bright*.

        • The power switch is on (IG).

        • The light control switch is in the AUTO position.

Headlights and Taillights Turn Off When the ambient light is bright, the exterior lights automatically turn off.

        Tech Tips

*: The sensitivity of the automatic light control sensor can be changed on the settings screen of the multi-display.
