LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) Relays the signal between the CAN communication lines.
    Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly) Sends power switch condition signals to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Courtesy Light Switch Assembly LH/RH Detects whether a door is open or closed and sends the signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    Turn Signal Switch


    • Light Control Switch

    		 Outputs a light control switch position signal and transmits it to the steering sensor.

    Luggage Compartment Door Lock Assembly


    • Luggage Door Courtesy Light Switch

    		 Detects whether a luggage door is open or closed and sends thesignal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH/RH Shuts down power to the headlights and clearance lights.
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.
    No. 3 Semiconductor Power Integration ECU Shuts down power to the taillights, license plate lights and rear fog lights*.
    Steering Sensor Sends the light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Operating Condition


      1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

        Function Outline
        Taillights Auto Turn-Off Function*1

        When all of the following conditions are met, the clearance lights, taillights and license plate lights automatically turn off:*2


        • The power switch is turned from on (IG) to off.

        • The taillights are on.

        • The driver door is closed and then opened.*3
        Headlights Auto Turn-Off Function

        When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights, clearance lights, taillights, license plate lights and rear fog lights*4 automatically turn off:*2


        • The power switch is turned from on (IG) to off.

        • The low beam headlights are on.

        • The driver door is closed and then opened.*3

        • When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights, clearance lights, taillights , license plate lights and rear fog lights*4 automatically turn off after 30 seconds:*2, *5


          • The power switch is turned from on (IG) to off.

          • The low beam headlights are on.

          • All the doors are closed after any of the doors are opened.

        • When the delay function is active and the following condition is met, the exterior lights turn off immediately:


          • The lock button on the key is pushed after all the doors are locked.
