LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following functions:

      Function Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked
      • When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Personal Light*1

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Door Lock/Unlock-linked
      • When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Personal Light*1

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Door Outside Handle Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Door Open/Close-linked
      • When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

      • Seat Light*2

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Door Outside Handle Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Power Switch-linked When the power switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Personal Light*1

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light


      • When the power switch is turned from off to on (IG), the lights that operate turn on.

      • When the power switch is turned from on (IG) to off, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Shift Lever Light

      When the power switch is turned from off to on (ACC) or on (IG), the lights that operate turn off.
      • Personal Light*1

      Shift Position-linked When the shift position is moved from P to any other position, the lights that operate dim.
      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Delay

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • An actuation area-linked function is operated.


      • Personal Light*1

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • The door unlock-linked function is operated.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the power switch is off.


      • Personal Light*1

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Door Outside Handle Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Battery Saving
      • When 20 minutes elapse after the power switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      • The battery saving function is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by the function. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


        • The power switch is turned on (ACC) or on (IG).

        • Any door is opened and closed.

        • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.

        • Any door is unlocked.

        • The electrical key transmitter sub-assembly enters any exterior actuation area.


      • Personal Light

      • Seat Light

      • Vanity Light

      • Display Illumination Light

      • Door Ambient Illumination Light

      • Footwell Light

      Tech Tips

      *1: When the door-linked personal light switch is turned off, the personal light does not illuminate.

      *2: Only the lights on the same side of the vehicle as the door that was opened illuminate.
