The entry and start system has the following main functions, making it a very user-friendly system.

| Entry Function | Entry Unlock | The entry function unlocks the door when the depression on the front end of a retracted flush handle is pressed.

| Entry Lock | The entry lock function locks all the doors when the rear end of an extended flush handle is pressed. | |
| Luggage Compartment Door Open | The luggage compartment door open function opens the luggage compartment door when the luggage electrical key switch is pressed. | |
| Wireless Door Lock Control | The wireless door lock control function is a convenient system for locking and unlocking all the doors and opening the luggage compartment door at a distance. The basic operation is the same as that in the wireless door lock control system. | |
| Start Function | The start function is operated by simply pushing the power switch while carrying the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly. When the power switch is pushed, the certification ECU turns the ACC relay, IG1 relay and IG2 relay on or off to switch the power source.*

| Immobiliser | The immobiliser system compares the ID code that is registered in the certification ECU with the ID code of the transponder chip that is embedded in the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly. | |
| Steering Wheel Lock | The steering wheel lock function is operated to lock and unlock the steering wheel by using a lock/unlock mechanism in the steering column assembly. | |
