LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM


  1. OPERATION


    1. The combination meter assembly has an Lexus parking assist-sensor system indicator light, master warning light and multi-information display to provide warnings and messages regarding the Lexus parking assist-sensor system.

    2. The location of an obstacle and the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle are displayed on the multi-information display.

    3. The number of lines shown on the display changes based on the actual distance and flashes when the distance is short.

    4. Screens displaying warning messages relating to an ultrasonic sensor malfunction, ultrasonic sensor freezing, or presence of foreign matter on the ultrasonic sensor are displayed on the multi-information display.

    5. When a communication malfunction occurs between the clearance warning ECU assembly and radio receiver assembly, hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, combination meter assembly or headup display*, the master warning light illuminates and "Parking Assist Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" is displayed on the multi-information display to inform the driver of the malfunction.
