OPERATION
Depending on the detection distance and the detection area, the sound pattern of the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer will vary.

When a sensor malfunction is detected or a sensor is frozen or dirty, the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer sounds 5 cycles according to the following timing:
The ultrasonic sensors are divided into 2 groups: a front section group (front corners and front center) and a rear section group (rear corners and rear center). If multiple ultrasonic sensors detect obstructions at the same time, the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer sounds as follows, in accordance with the detection distance and detection area of each group:
| Detection Distance | Short (*B) | Middle (*B) | Long (*B) | Longest (*B) | Not detected |
| Short (*A) | Timing 1 | Timing 2 | Timing 2 | Timing 2 | Continuous Sound |
| Middle (*A) | Timing 2 | 100/100 | 100/100 | 100/100 | 100/100 |
| Long (*A) | Timing 2 | 100/100 | 200/200 | 200/200 | 200/200 |
| Longest (*A) | Timing 2 | 100/100 | 200/200 | 200/500 | 200/500 |
| Not detected | Continuous Sound | 100/100 | 200/200 | 200/500 | None |

Clearance Warning Buzzer Mute Function
When a sensor detects an obstacle with the shift position not in P and R, the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer can be temporarily muted using the steering pad switch assembly.
The mute function is canceled when any of the following conditions is met:
Shift position is changed to P or R
Vehicle speed is approximately 10 km/h or more
Power switch is turned off
Lexus parking assist-sensor system is turned off
Shift position signal is lost
Vehicle speed signal is lost
Sensor malfunction (open circuit/communication malfunction), freezing or unavailable condition is detected
Communication is lost with combination meter
