ENGINE UNIT

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. By integrating the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head sub-assembly, the exhaust gas can be cooled using the water jacket of the cylinder head sub-assembly. This results in enhanced driveability and fuel economy and a reduction of unburned gasoline due to the stoichiometric ratio being closer to ideal.

    2. The shape and location of the water jackets has been optimized to provide space for larger exhaust ports.

    3. The cylinder head sub-assembly has been simplified by separating the camshaft housing (cam journal portion) from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
